DriveEpic ADI Terms & Conditions

Thank you for completing the ADI registration form.

Please take a moment to read our updated Terms and Conditions. All ADIs are registered on our database on the strict understanding that the instructor has read, understood, and accepted the terms outlined below.

Independent Instructor Agreement

We do not charge a franchise or registration fee. You remain an independent ADI at all times.

How Does It Work?

  1. Accept a course via phone, email, or text.
    2. You will receive the student’s contact details via text.
    3. Contact the student preferably one week before the course starts.
    4. Introduce yourself and schedule lessons to ensure the student can take their driving test in the same or following week (subject to test availability).
    5. Start the course and collect payment at the first lesson or in advance via bank transfer.

Courses Offered

DriveEpic offers courses ranging from 5 to 45 hours. Courses should ideally be delivered as follows:
– 5–20 hours: Within 1–2 consecutive weeks.
– 25–45 hours: Within 1–3 consecutive weeks.
Standard lessons are scheduled on a regular weekly basis, whereas intensive courses require high availability over a short period.

Instructor Availability

Only accept a course if you are available to complete it within 1–3 weeks. Students have booked intensive training and expect full commitment. Do not accept courses unless you are confident of availability.

Lesson Standards

Avoid time wasting. Excessive breaks, running errands, long waits in car parks or overuse of printed materials is discouraged.
Breaks must be mutually agreed. Lessons should be productive and progress-focused.

Lesson Timing

Lessons should start and finish on time. If delayed by more than 30 minutes, offer the student the option to reschedule. Delays under 30 minutes should be added to future lessons.

Mobile Phone Use

Use phones only for essential test cancellations. Demonstrate professional behaviour at all times.

Additional Hours

If a student needs extra hours to become test-ready, discuss this honestly and fairly. Do not leave this conversation to the last lesson or rush it in the first lesson.

Test Day

The test day is included in every course. Set aside 2–4 hours, depending on the distance to the test centre. Inform the student early about the time needed.

Payment

Students are instructed to pay the balance directly to you on the first lesson or 24 hours in advance.
Alternatively, DriveEpic may collect the balance and forward it to you in full.
Students may pay in:
– Full for 5–15 hour courses.
– Two payments (half upfront, half midway) for 20–30 hour courses.
– Three instalments (¼, ¼, ½) for 35–45 hour courses.

Cancellations

Once matched, the agreement is between you and the student. Clearly state your cancellation policy. You may cancel if the student is under the influence, uses abusive language, or drives recklessly.

Accepting Test Bookings

Follow the cancellation instructions via WhatsApp or SMS. If suitable, respond within 10 minutes. Otherwise, ignore and wait for the next available test.
IMPORTANT: The DVSA ‘8 clear working days’ cancellation rule still applies.

Liabilities

DriveEpic Ltd is not liable for:
– Compensation claims.
– Road traffic contraventions including speeding, red light violations, parking fines, etc.

Complaints

We monitor instructor performance. Instructors deemed unsuitable will be removed from our database.
